Buried Child
Conceptual Design
The world of Buried Child is one in which a family is destroyed by a hidden secret. The set reflects the encroaching of that secret and is built upon the world of the Midwestern cornfield physically impeding the story. In their world, the corn becomes a manifestation for their secret, surrounding them, enveloping them, without fail. It grows, and dies, and sways as a result of what has been done.
